Circa 1879, Melrose demonstrates the grandeur which characterises houses of that era. Melrose House & Gardens offers a beautiful and unique venue, guaranteed
to
make your special event a memorable one!
Open the grand front door and enter a by-gone era. The spacious foyer has a magnificent winding staircase. On your left is the beautiful ballroom with elegant swag and tail curtaining, polished heart Rimu floors, high ceilings, chandeliers and open fireplaces.
It’s an ideal venue for boutique weddings, or special occasions. And on your right, the elegant cafe offers a unique dining experience or a delightful cup of tea.
On the upper floor the sun pours into the boardroom with a magnificent leather-clad board table, seating for up to 14 guests and views across the tree tops to the sea – perfect for meetings and seminars.
A smaller, break-out room sits next door.
Refurbishment and a heating system throughout the house make this wonderful heritage building warm and inviting.
The spacious gardens, free on-site parking and central location add value to such an experience.
The house is open to the public every day, free of charge. Bookings can be made for any of the function rooms.
